Gdansk -St Mary's Cathedral
St. Mary's Church is the biggest church in Poland and one of the largest gothic churches in Europe. It took over 150 years to build the church (1343-1502) but there were a lot of pauses during the construction. What is incredible is the fact that 25,000 people can go inside at a time. During the war the church was badly damaged because the majority of the construction went down. Fortunately the reconstruction started already in 1946.
